Victor grew up on the family farm southwest of Leslie and attended school in Leslie and Foam Lake. He worked several construction jobs and farmed with his Dad and Henry. On December 14, 1964 he married his high school sweetheart and they celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary in December 2014 with their family. They started farming beside his parents and still reside in the same yard. They were blessed with four sons and one daughter.

Vic enjoyed curling, hunting, fishing, visiting with the neighbours, going to auction sales and farming. He was often asked about how to grow flax becasue he grew it most of his farming life. His very favorite thing to do was making memories with his 10 grandchildren. He was very proud when Brian and Linda started farming with him from Regina. He very much enjoyed time spent at Fishing Lake at the trailer, fishing and visiting with anyone who stopped by. Vic was very spiritual even though he didn't attend church. One of his favorite sayings was "We can plant it, but we can't make it grow."

Vic will be remembered for his dedication to his family and his love of the land. He will be sadly missed by lovingly remembered by all those who had the pleasure of knowing him.
